About the DSO

Who We Are

Our Mission
Develop opportunities for disabled creatives and advocate for a more accessible Canadian screen industry.

Our Vision
An accessible and inclusive Canadian screen industry where disabled creatives thrive.

The DSO team, including board and staff members, stands together against a dark backdrop. From left to right, in the back row, are Kenneth J. Fredeen, Kássia Neves, Sasha Boersma, Prasanna Ranganathan, and Rayhan Azmat. In the front row, from left to right, are Elspeth Arbow, Rachel Desjourdy, Anna-Karina Tabuñar, Alethea Bakogeorge, and Winnie Luk. In front of the group, seated in a wheelchair, is board chair Yazmine Laroche. The group is diverse, and all are smiling.

What We Do

point-1

Build
relationships with and foster connections among disabled creatives working and aspiring to work in the screen industry.

Influence
those working in every stage of content production to remove barriers and create opportunities for disabled creatives.

Advocate
for policies that support disabled creatives in the screen industry.

Ensure
