Tawana Giscombe is a legal and compliance professional with a strong background in privacy law and regulatory matters. She brings extensive experience in developing and implementing compliance frameworks, managing regulatory requests, and advising on various legal and privacy issues within complex organizations.

Beyond her legal expertise, Tawana has a demonstrated commitment to supporting persons with disabilities. She directed a highly successful program aimed at improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities, with an emphasis on increasing social interaction skills and physical activity. Additionally, she provided personal care, social support, and life skills instruction to children and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities. Her experience also includes supporting workplace accommodation initiatives.

Tawana holds a Juris Doctor and is called to the Bar by the Law Society of Ontario. She is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Canada. Her skills in critical thinking and project management, combined with her ability to draft various legal documents and advise on complex regulatory matters, make her a valuable asset to the Disability Screen Office Board.
